At least he was able to admit he made a mistake and fucked him off ASAP, saying that I'd love to know what our scouts actually do and what they recommend to the manager.

Yeah like spunking £11m on Borini who is fucking shite.

Does anyone watch much of Dortmund these days? How's this guy going? Looking back at his brief spell with Liverpool, the manager and players were still coming to grips with each other, the fans were unsure of the unproven Rodgers and were also still pissed at Kenny being removed as manager. All that on top of Sahin coming back from a serious injury, ie lacking match fitness and confidence. How would a fully-fit Sahin go in this current team that is flying? Would he play the Coutinho/Sterling role at the top of the midfield 3 or 4?

Seems to be doing quite well, but I don't think he would be suited to playing for us with Gerrard in a deeper role really.  Sahin is best as a deep playmaker with an athlete alongside - kind of like how Alonso used to play with Mascherano .

He could maybe play the Gerrard role as we're set up now - but wouldn't get in the team ahead of Stevie.

Could probably play in one of the Allen of Hendo positions at a push, but doesn't really have the pace.  We'd have had to change the system to accommodate Sahin and get the best out of him.

No. His most effective position is the one that Gerrard currently occupies, but I think he needs to be part of a midfield pairing in a 4-2-3-1 to get the best out of him. We didn't really use that system while he was here, and we played him a lot further forward than Dortmund ever did.
