do get why they're excited about the new stadium, but having been to the new Spurs ground it's frankly laughable how they seem to have convinced themselves  it's going to be the most impressive new ground in Europe - in terms of both scale and design it looks pretty bog standard to me.

The Spurs ground is very impressive. I watched an NFL game there in October.

I fully don’t expect Everton to wow me with anything.

I was under the impression that one of the plus points about Goodison was with being an older stadium the fans were closer to the pitch therefore creating a more initidating atmosphere for (rival) players?   Looking at this they they going to lose that element of what makes Goodison 'special'.

Anyway, hope they spend their first season in it wallowing around at the lower end of the Championship.

Theyre going be right on top of the pitch here as they’ve left themselves with no room to manoeuvre with the location. Mate of mines in charge of the build of one of the stands and from day one they’ve all been concerned about getting people away from the ground after the game due to their only being one side everyone exits from.

Read a while back that big Joe was on the board of directors at Peel and he’s done Moshiri up like a right idiot getting them in there.

Best thing that happened to the city was the Mosh refusal to take up joes offer of financing the build using the city loan facility. The fat cunt was even giving them an insurance policy to cover the repayments in the event they couldn’t cough up as well. That would have closed the book on any external investment the city could get in the future.

The stench of corruption will follow them everywhere

Thinking over their Covid losses, they threatened the fanbase with the loss of their season tickets if they didn’t cough up the full amounts at renewal that summer, knowing full well the games weren’t going to be played in front of a crowd.

Seems quite a generic build to me but of course they will build it up(pun intended)just that little bit of debt to cover.

This was my take after watching that video, looks like just about every other modern ground out there inside of it.

They have provided a major Stadium update to Sky sports, I think we all know what that means...

Apparently, it will boost the local economy by bringing 1.4 million visitors a year to the city.

Hmmm....

That's a 52k stadium filled 27 times a year entirely with out-of-towners.

I'm not the first person to say this in connection with Everton, but those numbers just don't add up.

That's just more money unrealised that they can claim as lost for future PSR reviews.

The Merseys gonna be like the Suez Canal but with cruise liners waiting to unload rich foreigners who can’t wait to go and visit their shiny new stadium on the banks of the royal blue Mersey

I hate them, of course, but even putting that to one side, I go past there once a week and it could not be situated any worse if they tried. It will be an absolute nightmare to get people in and out and I'm sure the police will be thrilled at everybody coming out onto the only road available, no parking in the area and its also fucking Baltic down there.

That roof really looks like it’ll keep the acoustics in, the way the boo’s will reverberate around inside it will sound like an avalanche.

Every blue who listened to that will be thinking that their income will increase by 1.3b. Also how have the costs stayed at 500m from 2018 costings.

Mmmm... A club who have put their new stadium into its own legal entity and are currently in debt to the tune of around £1bn, think that when naming rights and non football events happen at their new stadium that they will profit from it if their owners are not 777 who carry a large portion of the debt? Or more likely, they go into administration , their only asset of value is the stadium that conveniently exists in a separate legal entity can be sold, so going forward the club needs.to rent the new stadium or stay in the wood shack.

The balls on this: citing Leicester - Leicester fucking City, who sold their most valuable player after they were relegated because they stuck to the rules, while Everton cheated - as evidence of "Sly Six" corruption.

I don't remember them being very concerned about Brighton when they bought Neal Maupay (stop laughing) and more seriously when they took lineker from Leicester and cottee from west ham. Or is football only fucked when they're not fucking it?

I think 777 have intimated they’ll convert the debt to equity.

I have no doubt whatsoever that if they do get hold of Everton they’ll separate the stadium from the club. They will drain the tv money from the club into the stadium entity along with any event money, and pocket it. They’ll sell off Goodison, pocket that money, and leave Everton with BMD as their only option and just do enough to keep them in the PL.

Have you ever thought of becoming a journalist? Those three words are descriptive, insightful and could be used as a question anywhere in the world...

"Who or what am I describing?"

Brilliant!
