It's the whole co-ordinated cheerleading thing that cracks me up but how much does that guy wish his job title was "Art Director" ? I bet he's got more mince than Mr Kipling.

Anyway, maybe next season's theme should be "Italian Ambience". They could stick a blue flare on every seat and get someone to razz round the main stand on a Vespa before hurling the flaming wreckage at Drogba.

Never let it be said that Chelsea are a small club.

Or you'll have the twelve fans who turned up to watch them training to answer to.

They are a big club. You're deluding yourself if you think they aren't. They'll rattle off a few more leagues and european trophies over the next few years while we're still f**king about fighting with tottenham, everton, stoke and southampton for 5th place.

Still, it is nice to feel superior sometimes.

Fan base size and trophies won long ago, before most of today's footballers were even born means very little.

Most of our players would drop us in an instant if City or Chelsea wanted them, not just for more money but to compete for titles year on year and play alongside world class players. That tells you who the bigger club really is.

It's not 1970 anymore and until we build a squad that today's stars are happy to play in, then Liverpool will remain a fallen giant living on past glories.
