Why is so much favouritism shown towards nemeth? If he has a stinker is he going to be one of those players that is exempt from criticism?

People want to give youth a chance but only the ones they have as a favourite or have decided are good enough. I find it strange.

I would start Voronin ahead of both of them as they are both raw and shouldn't really be used in a title run in imo especially as some fans want rafa's head if we come up short.

Because last season in the reserves, most of which was shown on lfc.tv, he was phenomenal. We wouldn't have won the league without him, our winning streak basically began when he came back from injury.

Nemeth doesn't play deeper particularly. He's a poacher essentially - at his best in the box.

Well in just about all the games I've seen in the reserves he's clearly played behind for example Brouwer. Yes, he is at his best in the box, but he has scored plenty from outside Everton, the one in the play-off game etc. He is definitely more than just a poacher and he definitely does not lead the line like N'Gog he's just not that type of player.

He's a lead the line striker.

I can't be arsed anymore. Think what you like.

Didn't think you would, you were heading down a dead-end. FYI, I based my opinion on interviews with Gary Ablett where he described exactly the role that Nemeth was being developed for and countless blog posts by Nemeth himself where he has described his role and development, etc etc.

I realize my last "dissonance" post pushed you over the edge, but really.........

Can't think why ANYONE would suggest you are a smug/patronising cunt.

I really can't.

FYI its nothing to do with "heading down a dead end", but everything to do with the fact that discussing this with you is about as enjoyable as prison rape.

He's clearly not got the attribites required for the level of opposition we face. He hasn't got a great touch, he lacks composure, he's not strong enough, his off the ball movement is average and his finishing looks like more luck than judgement.

but leaving those aside?

Dissonance is rarely enjoyable ;)

He actually tried to handle the ball in the area AGAIN on Saturday - that's after trying to punch the ball in during a reserve game and waving a hand at a crossed ball on three or four other occasions - it's bizarre he hasn't been told to cut out the habit. It's as if he doesn't realise he does it. Otherwise I'm happy to give him enough time to build up some confidence. In pre-season games he quite surprised me with his movement and sharpness; he's looked pretty lost when he's played in the first team, but he's young enough to persevere with.
