Leaving Las Vegas is probably in my top 10 films of all time - superb acting on cage's part. Anyone subject to alcoholism in their life would appreciate how good he was in this film.

Ha ha ha!! Oh yeah, If they hadn't fallen asleep and pissed themselves (literally) halfway through this tiresome, mawkish snooze-fest.

I did enjoy it. It was fairly formulaic fare, but enjoyable nonsense nonetheless. I don't need or want to be mentally challenged every time I switch the telly on.
Old school or Anchorman are great films. I'd say Anchorman is the one to go for. High brow it is not, just daft humour.

Anchorman is the bollocks on so many levels. Every Ferrell film since has been a major disappointment but then again they have so much to live up to...
Talladega nights is a grower. Thought it was passable first time and have loved it since

In that case, I shall watch Anchorman.

When I fail to laugh, because it won't be funny, you must pay me the price of rental, or buy me a beer.

Agreed on the priviso that you return the favour for all of Senor Grant's films I haven't seen....

hmm..ok, I choose About a Boy.

Watch, enjoy. You won't piss your pants laughing, but I'm confident it will while away an hour and half in a realtively pleasant fashion.

Grant plays a socially awkward englishman who...

No he doesn't. He plays a socially adept Englishman dealing with a socially adept family.

are we really ripping clive owen? the dude rules in Sin City as Dwight. he's also ace in that movie, you know the one where women can no longer conceive and he's gotta protect the last pregnant woman alive. and the new one he's in with Paul Giomatti look sweet as well.

now that i've blown Clive Owen all that i can, I'm going to say i can't fucking stand Dane Cook. he used to be hysterical back before the frat crowd starting repeating his jokes. it's like "i'm rick james bitch" was only ever funny when Dave Chapelle said it, the first time.
