If arsenal get 9 victories too, chances are they win it (thanks to the likes of Westam and fucking Sheffield United).

Maybe but we can smash Sheffield United too and I just can't see them winning all their games.

What's the consensus on the best result in City v Arsenal? A draw or an Arsenal win?

Draw

We have a better goal difference than man city so we still have the buffer where we can drop points and stay ahead of them

And obviously arsenal dropping points puts us back at the top where our destiny is in our own hands.

Ake was offside too though.

Edit - scrap that. Can’t be offside from a corner apparently

Double edit - I’ve played and watched football for 30 years and never knew that!

Can't be arsed to check if someone else already mentioned this but to be offside you have to be in front of the ball - which you obviously can't be from a corner.

Draw

Indeed. A draw is 4 points off our rivals, a win either way just 3.

But I'm genuinely not arsed which way it goes. There's positives in all the results for us providing we do our job against Brighton. A win puts massive pressure on both those teams when it kicks off. And hopefully there can be about 8nsendings off.

We are boss and i am dead proud of what we are doing - hopefully we go on and win it.

But for me there is a weird narrative about Arsenal here in general.

They are a top side - It is the only way you can describe them.....a team we haven't beat in the league in two seasons, who are currently top of the table and have already beaten abu dhabi earlier in the season.

They'll hopefully get past Porto and have other big games to fret about. It must be a long time since they've gone deep in the biggest European competition.

They've been excellent apart from a bad run around the time we beat them in the cup, but ourselves and (unfortunately) City have previous in going on big runs in the final ten games or so, something Arsenal haven't demonstrated yet.

An Arsenal v City draw in Europe would be phenomenal stuff for us.

Yeah those two embroiled in a 2 legged battle in europe would be great.

Won't happen of course, abu dhabi will probably draw Swansea in next rd...

Where do you think Arsenal will finish? Do you think they'll beat Dhabi away? If the answer is 3rd and no the rest of your post is irrelevant apart from they're a good side

There is enough evidence already to suggest we can't count on them "bottling" their league challenge. They're the best arsenal side in a decade or more

Leagues aren't won on such a small sample size of games though are they. It's how you do consistently over a long term and when it comes to run ins, are you a team that finishes strong. Clearly city are. Every year we have been too, even in the 2 bad seasons under klopp, we've finished well. Arsenal on the other hand have blown up in this phase of the season the last 2 years. It's easy to forget, but they were absolutely flying this time last year too, then just drew for weeks at a time and completely lost it. @AngryOfTuebrook pointed out on another thread, after 29 games last season, they were 5 points clear of city. I checked the year before and at the same point they were 3 clear of spurs in the run in for 4th. They failed both times. I think (rightly) that's why nobody is really arsed what arsenal do. If they're still top with 3 games to go, they're a discussion. Until then, they're just arsenal.
