The quality in this Newcastle Dortmund game is really awful, maybe due to the conditions?

I know I'm biased but we're so good to watch all the time, even when we play badly we're good to watch.

This is fantastically biased. Have the last 12 months not happened to you?

His fucking ego took that job, and led to the half wit owners sacking John Eustace (who had thrm in the top 6) for him.

Hes going to die on his arse again, and he'll be sacked by March.

Well at least he's used to the boos.

I watched the highlights against Middlesbrough. They would have got luck to keep their point. Deserved the 89th minute defeat.

My manager is a Brum fan (still not over the 2001 League Cup Final). He's happy that the takeover has gone through as the club looks more stable, but he wasn't overly enamoured at Rooney coming in.

Our club stamping all over any hopes of seeing same at Anfield

This from the silly email they send out ahead of games these days telling us what we can and can't do and to make sure the tourists have a good day out....

In addition to Anfield’s long standing flag policy, and following consultation with safety and security experts, it has been determined that Israeli and Palestinian flags should not be permitted to be displayed at football matches for the foreseeable future and the same approach can be applied to other displays, banners, clothing or scarves identified as pro-Israeli or pro-Palestinian or related to the current crisis.

Flag and Banner Policy

During Saturday’s match against Everton, LFC stewards requested that a number of flags and banners from across the political and national spectrum be removed as they didn’t meet the club’s flag and banner policy, and the additional guidance from the Premier League.

These included flags containing direct calls to action, political statements, national flags and flags which could have caused disquiet, no matter how inoffensive they may seem.

It’s important to follow the rules of the governing bodies of football and ensure that safety remains the number one priority for all supporters who come to Anfield.

The current LFC flag policy is that commercially produced flags under 2m x 1m with a small pole (less than 7mm diameter and less than 1m long) will be allowed in all areas of the stadium.

Flags and banners over 2m x 1m may be allowed into the Kop stand or Visitors section providing they have an accompanying fire safety certificate and agreement has been requested by the club and given prior to the fixture taking place.
