PS5 version of Elden Ring is stuttery as anything and the camera control way too sensitive. I'll wait until it's patched, for me it's a bit too much to enjoy the game at the minute.

I've not got Elden Ring but checked steam to see what the reviews were like and saw this as the top comment. No idea how many of these options are available on PS5 but if there's some it could help with issues :

Have had no issues on ps5 at all. A bit of pop in on the textures if you spin the camera at times, but nothing else. Framerates are smooth and the game responsive. 

 

It's great. Bit slow getting going, but once you get the horse you're away.

Which version you playing?

I've heard that the PS4 version on the PS5 is the one that doesn't have any issues. The stutter is definitely there with the PS5. I'll try and change from performance mode and see if that helps.

I've zero issues on the ps5 so far I've only just left the first cave, its as smooth as anything I've played. I chose that over the xbox version because most reviews said the ps5 version performed better. The game looks great but not significantly better than older games I've played.

It's just an idle game so you really 'play' it for about 10- 20 minutes a day, but I usually leave it running in the background. There are people with much more time in it than me-

Ps5 version on the ps5. Installed the update before starting.

Guess it doesn't help when the first enemy you meet in the open world wrecks you. Guess they're trying to teach the player to leave tough enemies and come back later, but it seemed a bit harsh.

Played for an hour last night and only just come out of the tutorial cave. Already wondering if I picked the right class. Went with Confessor because of the healing spell, but Samurai with his bow for spamming is calling me.

Based on the vendor I came across, faith looks pretty fun. Think pyromancy is tied to it this time around. 

 

I went with dex/magic (prisoner) but have already switched to strength.

The Witcher 4 has been announced, more importantly it looks like CD Projekt Red are moving away from the in house RedEngine and are turning to the Unreal 5 Engine.

“We are not planning on making the game exclusive to one storefront,” the developers say on Twitter, in response to one fan’s worry about Epic exclusivity.

Can't think of a bigger swing in public perception than what happened with that company.

 

They were, probably wrongly, held up as the gold standard in game design following the release of Wild Hunt (aided by it's massive DLC) and Cyber Punk was easily the most anticipated game for years.
