I am from St. Helens, not a lot of places that fit them and that's the want I am bothered about the most.

Are you going to be running regularly?

If so, make the time to find somewhere where you can get them fitted properly. If you're worried about them fitting properly there's no point even looking at anything in the likes of Sports Direct as you'll never feel they are the right ones for you and confidence in your kit is half the battle

Well at least 30 minutes 3/4 a week after doing weights.

Have used New Balances for years now and they have never let me down, last ages too.

I dunno. I think its very much an individual thing. In my experience one brand does not suit all feet.

Find a good running shop, go in with no preconceptions and let them advise you

I can vouch for that. I bought a pair of New Balances several years ago and they still look barely worn despite taking a hammering and going in the wash a number of times. Indestructible.

Exactly, but the best brands in my option are New Balances and Asics. Good quality running shoes.
