Fab was fucking awful again today, as bad as he's probably ever played for us. He's always a bit slow to get going, but the season is about 30% done now. He looks so off it and he's barely had a good 20 mins, let alone a full game. He looks slow, can't turn and can't even pass. Is it time to start worrying about him?

Rashid move to Wirral? IF Rafa Benitez resigns or is sacked by our American owners there will be absolutely hell to pay. This isn't like Jose Mournho at Chelsea, Liverpool fans are different and the pair of them will know about it if they do anything silly. The fans are already showing their unequivocal backing for the manager and I don’t believe either Hicks or Gillett realise quite how unpopular they will become if they sack Benitez or allow him to resign. Its been getting worse down the years. Just watching Moyes saying it was all about getting 85,000 through the gate. Anyone know when pre season preparations became secondary to corporate needs? Fannying round in Asia playing an all star over 85's one armed schoolteachers at 7-a-sde in front of one million screaming people crammed in a stadium is hardly the recipe for a good pre season. Unless you work for Standard Chartered. Not quite sure exactly where it all went wrong, the Pirelli cup game against Inter perhaps, Stendgaards pre season debut? Or more recently, was it all the '39th game' talk the media tried to get the fans onboard with to please their c…

Not blaming him for yesterday because he was clearly unfit. But when would be the ideal time to sell him if it comes to it? His contract expires in summer 2007. He has stayed to see if Rafa can bring the progress he wants (see other threads!!!!!). I think October/November this year would be the ideal time to offer him another contract. Why? 1. Rafa will have had around 20 more league games to show some progress and bring in some quality players. 2. Gerrard can still leave in January 2006 for a Championship medal at Chelsea, having given Rafa the time to progress. 3. We would get the best deal for him before his value drops due to the contrac…

We all know it! Gerrard should be playing in the centre. Sami is great but past it. Neither Gonzalez, Pennant, Aurelio nor Zenden have the quality to hold a place in a Championship winning team. It's November and the season is over as far as the title is concerned. So what's the plan? Here's what I would do! 1) bring in Agger for a lengthy run 2) expose any of our promising youngsters to the first team. Let's blood 'em 3) start the clear out in January - and sorry - Robbie was nice to have around but emotion took over from judgment 4) pray for a couple of good Cup runs 5) there's always next year 6) hope this year sees us with financing in place and ground b…

Aside from the announcements that it was all agreed about a month ago, it has all gone very quiet which is a good sign, but when can they announce the signing?

It is after normal time isn't it? Someone here at work said it is only after extra time, but I didn't agree. Who is right?

So, when we're at Anfield and we concede, when is it you start getting antsy? To clarify, I'm talking about a game that we need to win and the other team score first. Do you start getting nervous immediately about turning it around, or do you have your eye on the clock and have a time that if we don't score by, your nerves set in?

Do you think his nickname will follow the traditional method of adding an o, as in robbo, davo etc. Eto'oo?

On a lighter note and considering who we will most probably sign, what is our strongest line up? Reina Finnan Carragher NEW CB Warnock NEW RW Alonso Gerrard Kewell Owen Morientes Any alternatives? With Rafa liking the 4-5-1 though I can see this line up for the big games. Reina Finnan Carragher NEW CB Warnock NEW RW Alonso Sissoko Kewell Gerrard Morientes

Been watching some videos on Youtube and this show on EPSN. Take away he's a back stabbing shithouse who will probably not score another goal again in his career. Just how good was he? I was watching his goal v Blackburn that turn and volley. Absolutely fantastic, it still hurts a bit considering how he left. But when he was good, he was absolutely terrific, pace technique and an excellent all round player. I have no clue what has made him the player he is today. Injuries, greed and generally losing the qualities which made him the player he once was. Either way it's sad for him he'll never be considered a Liverpool legend, because he really had it all. H…

The Knowledge Christmas special – when football's festive parties turn bad | Football | guardian.co.uk When football's Christmas parties turn bad guardian.co.uk, Wednesday 17 December 2008 01.58 GMT "After seeing Old Trafford's finest looking especially tired and emotional after their party at the weekend, I wondered what misdemeanours players have got up to at Christmas parties," says Alex Perkins. Before we summon the ghosts of Christmas parties past, let's start with something nice and innocent: a food fight. Never mind Pizzagate: in the 1960s the Spurs players showed that – yes, folks – you don't have to dislike someone to toss oven-prepared s…

When he goes, or rather when he comes back

in the Blue of Chelsea I wont boo, wouldnt give him the pleasure, because for me the day he turns his back on us, he becomes nothing, and he'll mean no more to me than all the other mercenary cunts who put roubles before ambition. Let him leave the club and the fans he professed to love, let him go and sign for the Harlem Globetrotters of football, and that is all they are, some football sideshow, it'll be the worse mistake he ever makes. Right now £50million, i'd snap there fucking hand off, give Carra the captaincy and let Rafa buy bring in whoever he wants and i'd happily wager we finish above them cunts next season.

Rafa will have a kings ransom (hopefully 35 - 45 Mil) so who does he buy??? Another keeper?? Another right back??? Another centre half?? Central Midfielder??? Left Mid?? Rid Mid?? Another striker?? ......Fuck me, he may as well buy a new team. I do beleive we need a more eastablished and confident Keeper. Kirkland just hasn't got the confidence and strength (Getting knocked off the ball by Osamn yesterday???) to hold a place down. The same goes for Dudek who started brightly but is now fading. The question is who do we go for?? I wouldn't mind Niemi or Bolton's keeper (I will refrain from typing his name as I cannot be arsed trying to s…
