I'd like to think we've learnt the hard way not to sign every average midtable Premiership player who hits a run of good form.

15 goals in the league this season, 12 the season before... some run of good form, that.

always been a player I've really liked since he moved to Fulham, very clever talented player who always finds himself in the right position to score goals and I've often thought I'd like us to sign him but then the amount of players we've had who have done the business at smaller clubs in the same league but then come here and hid makes me wary of whether he'd do well for us if we did sign him

what do we all reckon? he'd thrive or look devoid of confidence the moment he stepped on the Anfield turf in a red shirt?

please dont take Jockie and Lawros comments to serious on this guy, we are desperate for a striker. lets raise the bar and we need a european number 9 like oscar cordoza or Huntaller ( pardon my spellings on the named players) :whoops:

One good season? A good run of form?

Do some of you people even watch football?

He'd walk in to our current team - which isn't a ringing endorsement, but the arrogance of some people when it comes to players from smaller (Or fellow midtable...) clubs is astounding.

Downing walked into our current team. Sometimes that alone, just isn't enough. Plus he's a cunt.
