I cleared the plate. The proprietor turned up at my table and offered me 10% off my next stay. It’s the adult equivalent of a lollipop in a little chef for eating everything.

 

I feel I’ve started the day as a high achiever. It’ll be downhill from here no doubt.

There is no way breakfasts can get such high marks when they contain beans. Putting them in a cup is a helpful way of disposing of them into the nearest bin though.
