He had a very poor game. His performance in no way influenced the outcome of the match, but he still had a poor game, waving his card about way too much and the Mascherano booking is arguably one of the most ridiculous you'll see this season. He also neglected to add on the full minute he wasted telling Lucas and Huddlestone off. But we could still be playing now and wouldn't have scored.

However, just because we lost doesn't mean we can't criticise the referee.

He had no baring on the outcome of the match, we were shite and Spurs weren't.

You are completely wrong with the first part of your statement and completely right with the second part of your statement.

Voronin's was a stonewall penalty end of story so his performance did impact on the result even though a draw would have been daylight robbery

The game was 2-1, his performance denied us a penalty so therefore it did influence the outcome. Whether we deserved a point is a separate discussion but the fact that we were denied a clear opportunity to level the scores because of the referee's ineptitude means his performance influenced the game. It speaks for itself.

We`re sounding like fuckin Everton here. We lost & deservedly so, dont go blaming the fuckin ref. We have only ourselves to blame. Personally, i blame the ridiculous selection of Babel over Yossi, what the fuck went on there? Yossi, arguably our best player since the new year, dropped for that useless piece of fuckin shit, beggars belief. We cant play with Mash AND Lucas, its time to to move Stevie back & play Yossi there.

No baring at all. It was a penalty but how many chances did we create? One? Two? Not really good enough is it? Perhaps if we played anywhere near our best we wouldn't have to rely on penalty appeals. Fans blaming referees for everthing really gets on my nerves.

We didn't deserve anything from the game, but Phil Dowd is still an officious little cunt. He stomps around the pitch glowering at people, making faces and yelling for no apparent reason. And what the fuck was with his little motivational speech at his linesman for spotting that handball?

Fuck, I hate referees...

We were still shite though.
