This morning i took delivery of a shiny new samsung tv only to discover it had a scratch on the bottom panel. How pissed off was I.Not for long though i got on to customer services and after learning that the model i chose was out of stock i was offered a refund or replacement tv of the same value . when i saw fuck all in the same price range i got on to a supervisor and she said she couldnt reduce the price of any new tv's on the website but she could knock some off my tv if i kept it. Having nearly bit her head off for suggesting such a scurrilous outcome i just tentatively asked what figure she had in mind (the fact that she was a jock didnt fill me with much hope) i was expecting an offer of about £50 - £75 tops and for a ton i would have got the black touch-up pens out and lived with said scratch.

She came back with an offer of a £200 reduction :wow:

Oh i dont know says i , is that the best you can do !!! I shall just speak to my wife (already out working the poor sap) ..... well ok then i say trying hard to hide my absolute delight.

Top and bottom is that i now have a brand spanking new samsung tv for £149 smackeroos. Cushdy.

Just think though, if it didn't have a scratch you could have phoned them and pretended it did and got a brand new, unscratched, perfect telly for £149.

Looks more like a white moggy hair than the grand canyon i made it out to be !
