Modern Bond films are not very good. I can still watch Bond films from the 60s and 70s and be entertained by the mixture of comedy, comic book villains, suspense and the slightly over the top performances from some great actors over the years.

For me Bond died with the demise of 'Cubby' Broccoli.

Insiduos 6/10.

Started off in the 1st 5-10 mins like it could have been a decent horror film but it went downhill with all the seen and done before moments you get in the vast majority of horror films. It ended up quite cliched with a hint of polterguiste about it.

In the end the 15 rating should have alerted me to what type of film it was going to be.

I really loved Casino Royale and the last two were good solid films, but they've definitely lost something of what makes Bond, Bond. Craig's Bond is kind of a dumb thug, he's frequently outmanoeuvred and out thought and usually rescues the situation by just stabbing someone. He's not really a spy either as such more an assassin, and isn't remotely suave.

For me, Bond is a killer but also dapper and a lover of the good life, a suave and intelligent playboy.

This, for me, is why Moore is the quintessential Bond. Don't get me wrong, I've got a lot of love for Connerys potrayal. But the rugged scotsman still had a hint of the rough and ready about him. Moore embodies the last line of your post perfectly IMO.

Yeah me too, Bond should be 10% Austin Powers. Moore is the only one I can imagine being able to pull off a union Jack parachute and knocking someone out with a champagne cork.

I think they've tried to make the modern Bond more of a Jason Bourne character and it doesnt work well for Bond to try to copy that.

To me Bond looks dated and the Bourne character(cannot comment on the newest film) looks more in tune with modern tastes, and works much better.

Time for the Bond franchise to be put to rest and look back on fondly rather than outliving its enjoyment. No shame in that in my view.

I don't think it would be a bad thing if they never made another Bond.

Unfortuantely the likelihood is that they'll keep flogging it to death, rather than coming up with new characters.

Oh and that might well be the last time I ever go to a cinema. People up and down to the toilet constantly, people using their phone torches to eat their food or just generally competing with each other to see who could rustle the loudest. I actually had to tell a guy to end his phone call, that is not something someone should need to be told.

Oh and it was hot as fuck in there.

To be honest I thought Casino Royale was the last really great Bond film which was sort of a throwback to the Dr No And From Russia with Love films which possessed 007 having a dinner jacket on one minute but then brutal violence and nastiness the next which Craig pulled off really well. He also had alongside him a great female character in Eva Green who didn't put up with Bond's usual sexism and played it straight back at him.

I think since then he looks like he's bored shitless half the time and definitely should have binned it after Skyfall which was ok..ish but not brilliant the way everyone made out it to be.

But I agree I think it should be left now but they won't.

I also think to be a great Bond film you need a great score..

Chris Cornell, great song- Casion Royale = Great film

Sam Smith, fucking shite song - Spectre = Fucking Shite film
