If you love Romeo so much, why don't you enter into a passionate but ultimately doomed relationship with him which ends in you both killing yourselves?

But soft, what light through yonder transfer window breaks?

Hang on. It looks like…are you seeing what I am? Is it? oh…right…it’s a super yacht, a reserve goalkeeper in his forties and 2 youth signings from the Championship.

He’s just tweeted his ‘here we go’ tweet, stating we’ve agreed a £60m fee for MacAlister. personal terms agreed until 2028.

edit. Oops Romeo not Romano.

These modern reboots have nothing on the bard’s original texts.

On the outgoings side of things, almost certain-

Adrian

Keita

Ox

Melo

Milner

firmino

Who else likely to leave?

Kelleher ( wants game time )

Matip ( 1yr left on contract )

Phillips ( wants game time)

Thiago ( 1 yr left on contract)

Carvalho ( Loan maybe )

Probably unlikely we let 11 players leave in one window but I’d say 8-9 will go, Thiago/Matip will probably see out their contracts.

We’d then need to buy on top of the midfield rebuild of 2/3 players

a back up keeper,

a centre half unless matip stays.

Would we entertain an offer for Nunez ? If so we’d probably need an attacker ( ideally right side to back up Mo).

It depends how much the new system changes things and if we want to stick with it.

Gomez is getting no time, whilst Matip did get a game against West Ham. He also has more sale value than Matip. Maybe he's the one who goes. What's the role of Tsimikas in this system? How about Elliott and Carvalho? Do they have a role? Even Thiago and Nunez, who I don't think will go, but there's questions about suitability.

And on the buying side now again if this is the way we play moving forward, you have to base it a lot around Trent. Who can we buy to protect him in that formation? Is that another right back, a centre back or midfielder? We definitely need another creative player because if Trent doesn't play, we'd have no creativity. And then we have to ask if Robertson is suited to the left side now.

There's a whole new set of questions.

Why is Henderson immune? The weakest link in  our regular starting 11 - fuck sentimentality- get the armband off him and get rid.

Alex Scott is potentially already better than Odegaard.

If he was playing for Las Palmas or  Levante he'd be targeted by Barcelona for his buyout.

Can we agree the Championship is actually harder than other European 2nd leagues.

I'm in love.

And while the crowd gazed upon the Red Queen Linda’s tits, the apologists loaded up the FSG fleet with chests full of gold while King John gave another annual apology saying that things had been difficult across the vast ocean but things would be better next year

None of these lids can be 3rd choice next season - Pitaluga (20), Davies (19), Hughes (21), Ojrzyński (20)?

I think they will move Pitaluga up - was playing regularly on loan before doing his ankle and obviously has been mentored by Alisson.
