I like him. He's pretty much all we need in a full back. Solid, and capable of providing some width. Nothing flashy, but with our forwards we don't need Roberto Carlos.

 

He can also time a header, something Moreno fails miserably at a lot of the time.

I feel like he knows what games mean most to the fans and it gives him that extra edge. It’s the fact that he’s not just a British player but he’s Scottish and they’re more like scousers than any part of England. It might only be an extra 1% but it feels like he’s a big game player because of it. He played the derby like a derby should be played. He knows everyone hates sterling so he had him rattled all day in this one. He’s a fucking great signing and I don’t care if it makes me look smug I called it. That run he did was for the fans.

Love his commitment and dedication. He should have done better on the third goal however and he does get caught out. Needs to improve for me and I believe he will. Good job today though. He's got a bright future.

How good was he against Sterling? Great game.

 

Jurgen's right, he wasn't the same against Bernardo Silva when he came on but fresh legs (and quality) against tired are always a mismatch and I can forgive him one or two moments where he was only OK instead of great.

 

Looks like a huge bargain.
