Sadio Mane

It's impossible to say how he will react when he comes back. He might be on a downer after going out with Senegal and his form will suffer. Equally, he might be on a downer and it might prompt him all the more to show his best form and help drag the team out of the current slump.

I'd get him on a plane and get him back to face Chelsea. A nice massage, a bit of very light training, a couple of shots of espresso (!) and he can put Chelsea to the sword and get us out of this slump.

Welcome home Sadio lad.

Sadio distraught at having to return to Liverpool...

Just get one of the condescending clowns from off here to explain to him that it's a joke tournament that no one cares about anyways, he'll be raring to go then, especially once he realises we're still in the hunt for that there fourth place trophy.

Liverpool providing private jet for Sadio Mane to return from Gabon today. be on bench v Chelsea

Is that verifiable or just him spouting more bullshit? I doubt the club have leaked info to him that Mane will deffo be on the bench on Tuesday.

Remember a couple of seasons ago we were waiting for Sturridge to come back from injury and save the day. Feel like we are back there. When before Xmas I was talking the team up saying we have that many (Mane) options that we can provide cover through Firmino, Phil, Lallana and even Can was getting the odd goal with Gini looking solid. What the hell has happened. Keep telling myself this is just a blip and the engine will get started again soon and we'll be off again.

This is gonna be well funny.

Everybody expecting Mane to come back and fix everything.

I highly doubt it.

Sometimes a single player can change things, his return will give us more shape to the starting 11 and he'll drag defenders about making room for others, he will also give us width. Sometimes a player returns from Injury/international duty in this case and it can have a positive effect on the whole team.

Hopefully the rest of the players can grow some balls and give us the performance they owe us. We have still played well in patches, especially possession wise, just lethargic up front and shite in defence. If we can stick away a few chances it might just get the defenders playing better as well.

We need to get a positive result and build from there, plenty of teams turn things around due to a certain incident/performance etc, we could easily do the same. Hopefully it starts on Tuesday against the cockney wankers.
