Would love it if Gerrard could go on to get a hat-trick and shut the haters up. I prefer him in an attacking midfield role rather than this central/defensive midfield one myself but he's been our best player alongside Coutinho so far, and yet is still getting some criticism from some. Guess he's just the new scapegoat nowadays even though he's been miles better than Lucas.

No he hasn't.

Also, why didn't Lallana play in Sterling on the chance from Moreno's low cross?  He gets the ball, can't get it onto his right, and when he's twisting to try to get it onto his left for the shot (which he didn't miss by miles, to be fair to him) Sterling is absolutely wide open begging for a little 4-yard pass to put him in with a golden chance.

Had his head down on that particular occasion, Lallana (maybe a bit harsh, but Sterling was screaming for it).
