I'll pay 25 pence for a portion, but not 30 pence.

Just buy a bit of fillet steak for the same price.

Hand in a transfer request for fucks sake lad, you'll end up playing under Adkins next season fighting the drop with a bunch of nobody's around you, praying for a January move to Spurs. Get your arse in gear, nows your big chance, run like the wind and don't let these twat's hold you back.

@SimonPeach: Snippet on #LFC's interest in Lallana. Appears reported £25m offer a red herring, with bid to #SaintsFC actually less with ludicrous add-ons

It's official, we're not spending any money. Southampton will tell us to do one and we'll try and bring back Downing or sign Moses on a permanent on the 31st of August.

It'll be interesting to see if the same people who are complaining about the fee are now going to call the owners/club/Ian Ayre a bunch of mingebags for not spending money

Why would they, it seems the club agree's with them that 25 million upfront is far too much.

Why?

Surely spending loads on Adam Lallana isn't the only fucking option?

No, nobody is going to do that.

a - 25m is far too much and I'm glad the club can see that.

b - the window hasn't even opened.

It'd be a different story, despite a), if this was the last week of the window and he was our main and only target.

It would make sense if we haven't bid £25 Million. It looks like the press have been briefed to f*ck.

So, lots of reports in the respectable press, Guardian, Times, BBC, etc. that we have bid £25 million.

Some random dude called Simon Peach on twitter says that we haven't.  Instantly believe him.
