It's because they believe they're right and absolutely the whole of football is with them. It's really fucking weird. I was with 2 mates this week, about as normal Everton fans as you would like to meet, but they're convinced they're being properly fucked and there is an agenda. They think fans up and down the country are up in arms. They believe they've already won the argument the the PL have been "found out". The stuff we laugh at and most of the country ignores or is unaware of (like Andy Burnham's bullshit), they think the whole country agrees with and is rallying behind. Nuts. I assume when some random dick on twitter says "yeah, it's corrupt", they think twitter represents them country. And for sure they think because wolves sung the corrupt song, they think backs their argument and they've started a movement, despite the fact they're complaining about referees, don't give 2 fucks about Everton and in fact want them deducted points, because they're one of the clubs who sold player to comply with PSR.

It's absolutely mental.

They are still pissed off about the Super League inviting Spurs and not them. If they had been offered a chance to join they would have grabbed it with both hands and gone on about being founder members of the league and football royalty. But they've just ramped up the faux outrage and conditioned themselves that the world wants to screw them over because they have been asleep at the wheel for 30 odd years and they need someone else to blame.

It is ridiculously bad sour grapes on their part so they need the comfort blanket of inventing conspiracy theories or getting on their high horse, but completely ignoring anything they've done themselves.

Basically just acting like a lad who got the knock back from someone he fancied so he's convincing himself and his mates that she's a slag anyway and he never really fancied her to begin with.

The ten point deduction is the first time fans outside of Liverpool have even thought about Everton in many years . I think many even forgot they are in the Premier League. It's arguably the biggest thing to happen to them since 1995.

Newcastle fans call them the Scouse Mackems which pisses them off really badly.
