But surely most of the wages come from players and the manager. And they always say the big director salaries in the accounts and ours never stand out.

As an example the generally reported player salaries for the shite were about 86m or so - but their actual overall wage bill is 159m.

I know this because i had a row with a bitter mate who was claiming that their wages to turnover figure was circa 50% based on the 86m figure.

I don't know exactly how it all breaks down for any club to be honest - and i must say i was surprised to see numbers as were but i suppose it depends when see these player salary figures that are generally circulated of those numbers like the 86m for the shite are just 1st team squad....so once you start adding on all the managers, coaches, medical, data, etc etc etc and at all the different levels and then all the other staff throughout clubs i suppose it adds up quickly - like the 73m that takes the shite up to a total of 159m out of a turnover of 172m and 92% in total.

I said quite early on in the season that I couldn't see any of the promoted teams getting more than 20 to 25 points and that looks very likely.

Sheffield United are woeful. Burnley are shite and Luton are shite and absolutely ravaged with injuries.

They genuinely couldn't have wished for a better season to get multiple points deductions in.

I doubt that they’re paying £73m a year on salaries for their kids, coaches and other backroom staff.
I can credit that figure if it includes signing-on fees, continuing to pay off their multiple former managers (etc), and other things which - at a pinch - aren’t part of the players’ weekly salary.

Their wage bill total is 159m.

That is all staff across the whole of the football club down to the people working behind the ramp at the pit in the Gwladys St end pulling pints.

Now whether it is 86m on 1st team squad and 73m on everything else inc what you mention who knows, I have not seen an official breakdown - but what we do know is their total complete wage bill is 159m and their total revenue is 172m.

They are more likely to go bust first than they ever are of going down. Last year was the year and Maddison the galaxy high headed twat failed. He's a disgrace.

And DeZerbi too getting spanked 5-1 at home should always rule him out taking over from Klopp

I saw a part of Everton's report the other day. They exclude everything, including tax from their 1st headline number. So things like employers NI, insurance, pension and agent fees are all excluded. I don't think that's the case out of the bigger number. When we come to calculate for the new PSR (if it gets approved, but already running at uefa level), then all these costs are included in the player costs, as well as player trading P&L. If i get time later watching the footy, I'll try and get a copy of their accounts and take a look how they've broken it down.

One hand washes the other. An administration before this season ends, sees them go down with an automatic 9 points deduction.

I was saying to my bloo mates at the start of the season it would be next year when they go down.

Once they have to make make savings,  sell the star players ( don't laugh  ). Not have the money to buy any more dross ( maybe the only advantage it gives them ). Have another year of Dyches tactics . Even they can't cope with all that.

I'm still hoping with further points deductions. They can still be flushed this season, but they could be the Sheffield Utd, of next season and that would be comedy gold.

My cousin was telling me they have teams fighting for their great players like Pickford, Branflakes, Onana, Doucoure and DCL. I asked him how, if they had 5 great players how come they are absolute bilge. He could only come up with a Partridge shrug.

Onana and Braithwaite yes teams will pay good money. But Pickford I'm not sure Ourselves, both mancs clubs, Arsenal, Spurs,Villa all have keepers. Newcastle won't touch him with the Sunderland links. Maybe West Ham buy they arnt paying huge money.  Dacoure will have clubs but he's 31 and it'll be peanuts.

And who will pay good money for a 3/4 goal injury prone striker

So will Everton

Yeah but Leicester are on the path Everton are on this season if they come up. They'll get the points deduction they are dodging now from these latest accounts. And then if they're back in the PL, they'll get another for the accounting year we are in now.

Supposedly Calvert-Lewin is on £100k per week. I don’t see any teams fighting for promotion who are flush with cash, whereas Everton will be desperate to get rid of him. It’s easy to envisage him leaving on the cheap just so that they can get his wages off the books.
