*Shakes head* Everton again.

With your other hand.

They wouldn't even need to beat City, just somehow manage to keep them level, denying them 2 points. Although, that too is seemingly asking the impossible.  Being in the relegation spots at kick-off could light a fire under their arses, though. With Leeds in freefall, they'll probably feel they can afford to 'throw' this one, and unfortunately, they'd probably be right.

Clive Thomas destroyed my childhood. Outrageous.
Mine too, and although we didn't realise it at the time, his decision was directly responsible for springboarding the RS into their golden period of late seventies and the eighties.

They'll be crossing fingers, legs and anything else they can, hoping that's the only thing closed on uncle Uzzy. At a time where their finances are seriously unsustainable, fighting a relegation battle, and still trying to find funding to build their third stadium, international and UK sanction heat on Usmanov could be devastating.

This Adam Jones lad is obviously new to Everton/Evertonian's and this footy lark....

Evertonians on social media in recent days have had to put up with pundits and fans from other clubs making their minds up for them heading into this weekend.

One particular tweet from Sky Sports read: "Everton could do their Merseyside neighbours Liverpool a huge favour if they're able to take points off Manchester City this weekend..."

They could also, of course, do themselves a massive favour - and that's all any Blues supporters really care about.

He ruled out a late winner for Everton. Everton then had the chance to beat us in a replay which they didn't do. Liverpool went onto lose the final but were already league champions and in a European Cup final.

But yes, that decision altered the Evertonian multiverse to help us win everything.

Eh? We ended up losing the final, plus we were already in a golden era.

We lost that final anyway. It made no difference to fuckin anything.
