Who said the owners didn't have any stroke when it came to accepting bids?

And more importantly who fucking believed it?

Kirdi? Fuck off Broughton.

You are forgetting that both of those clubs owners were prepared to sell at a reasonable offer and it was in their interests to do so.

Nothing that has come from H&G be that the appointment of Purslow & Broughton or their vastly inflated price for Liverpool has indicated it's in their interests to do so.

Either way it's academic as we were led to believe they have little or no say anymore.

I am utterly incredulous at that assertion.

See. Spot on.

REVEALED: Former Liverpool suitor Kenny Huang served with $10m fraud summons in London

By Nick Harris

29 October 2010

The former Liverpool suitor Kenny Huang, exposed by sportingintelligence in August (link here) as someone with limited sports business credentials who lied under oath in an embezzlement trial (which he won), has today been served with legal papers in London that accuse him fraud, deceit and defamation among other things, charges that if proven could cost him around $10m.

The plaintiff in the case is a Florida resident, Deidre Halley-Wright, a former business associate of Huang. Huang is one of nine co-defendants in an action relating to a car import business. Huang has 20 days to respond to the summons, and could face a trial or a judgement against him in his absence if things get that far.

Huang gained international prominence when bidding for Liverpool, then pulling out without explanation.

Huang was in London to take part in a panel discussion about sport in China as part of an event called the Global Sport Summit.

Ms Halley-Wright had tried unsuccessfully to serve the papers several times on Huang in the USA, where he is domiciled, leading to a judge in Florida giving her extra time in August to serve him. The judge at the time described Huang as “very successfully evading service” up to that point.

Amid farcical scenes at today’s conference, Huang refused to answer any questions about Liverpool or his sports businesses, such as they are, and was eventually chased down a corridor by a group of journalists and camera crews, decling to talk about the lawsuit, until he escaped in a lift. He was later escorted by security through an underground exit, from where he was driven away in car with tinted windows.

I'd say It's was a job done by Kenny. Got exactly what he wanted out of us.

"Best deal for the club and the city"

The only other person who "escaped in a lift" was Willy Wonka.

Keeping an eye on Twitter for all reaction to this latest news.

Bit quiet so far...

They were pretty quiet on it today, same people who were shouting "get out clause" was gospel based on a free lance journalist article with no quotes and a bitter from the Guardian, same people shouting NSEV would'nt spend, and yes they are the same people that told us Kenny Haung was gona buy us Drogba and Inesta and the Chinese government were backing him when all he was a chancer trying to get the club on the cheap for a swift profit, really bad day for that lot with Kenny getting summoned and our owner dismissing there lies and it turns out there is no "get out clause".

Dont worry there off trying to spin Henrys words no doubt, expect an exclusive or 2 in the next few days only for it to be dismissed again, its sad really.

no way they'll get refinance, were losing a million a week then the new terms made it £2.5m a week, even going back to the original £1m were fucked, we'll have new owners within 6 weeks, it may be the bank but it wont be the current owners as each day goes by there bottom line drops

Heh, Look who was right.

Thanks God that chancer never got his hands on us, MB did what Moores and Parry failed to do three and half years ago, after seeing what happened I'm grateful for MB for all what he has done to this club.

It looks very good with NESV at the moment, but lets not get carried away, remember how happy we were after we spent big in 2007? Let's give them a bit of time first and then judge them!
