Dunno how true it is..but apparently the taxi driver was taking the fella to the service in town but he then changed his mind and went to the womans instead 

When they pulled up,the taxi driver got suspicious  locked the car and dived out just as it blew up.

Apparently he is ok.

When I first heard about it I genuinely didnt think it was tertor related.
