I think there is going to be a need to invest in a Coutinho replacement before the end of the window or failure to unlock defences of this nature is going to result in failure to qualify for the CL.

Don't say that around here. We're going to wait until summer 2025 because there's only one player Klopp wants and is available and he is currently still in high school.

Mane could have sent us in level there.

Right, lay into them at halftime Jurgen. The whole team needs to be much better.

We’ve got a decent record of bouncing back this season. This one is still well in our grasp, but we have to come out much better.

I can see the sense in TAA for Gomez in games like this.

Wijnaldum is absent.

Not seen enough of AOC apart from on dead balls.

Mane been decent, Mo been below par, as has Firmino.

It’s not clicking. We have a couple of gears to move up. We will have to if we want three points.

Come on you reds.

Sick of this shit. Fuck off swansea and most the rest of this cowardly cunt league. “Ooh we’d be delighted with a 0-0, maybe we can sneak it with a fucking set piece.”

Aye, I know we should know what to expect but it’s game after game, desperately passing the ball into tiny corridors of one yard because there’s fucking legs everywhere, and pundits telling us how hard it is to pull off when it’s basically just space-blocking.

Into these second half, Reds.

We are too slow in that first half and some really wasteful possession did not help.We have had an extra rest day but look off the pace. Gomezs balls have been woeful all night. Bobbys hardly been in the game. Mos touch is wayward as is Mane who should have scored just before the final whistle. Not sure why Matip is going forward so much because he gets a nose bleed every time he goes over the half way line and just gets in everyones way. Think we are going to struggle here now they have the first goal as they are just going to play more of the same in the second half. More urgency more accuracy and more shots on target please for gods sake.

Not half the intensity shown that we did last week for a game with the same number of points at stake.

Got nothing to do with intensity.  City left space for us to exploit, let our average midfielders do what they're good at (run and harass.)

Swansea have asked us to break them down and since we've no one capable of doing so, you see what you see.  A front three starved of the ball, three pointless midfielders & two pointless full backs,

We've seen this story before a thousand times.
