I think there are loads of teams in the league who look better than us, Rev. I don't think there's anything amnesty worth about the suggestion.

Palace, for instance, are lightening on the counter, have pace and genuine menace in the final third, a boss midfielder in Cabaye capable of controlling the game and some good solid defenders who will throw themselves at anything. Swansea are another; a team with a clearly defined way of playing and a manager who can influence the game either from the bench with a sub or with clever tactical tweaks, as he has done at times this season.

Take away the fact that we're a big club and spent big money on players and there's not a lot there. Square pegs in round holes, a lack of fight throughout the team, and a prosaic style of play that leaves our target man isolated, all overseen by a manager who is floundering. We're at the stage now we're our flaws our so apparent that we could sign a steady Eddie of a holding player- someone like a Lee Cattermole (not that I'm suggesting it like!)- and it would be an improvement by virtue of him simply having a skillset that nobody else in the midfield has.

I honestly wouldn't back us to beat anyone at the minute. Can anyone honestly tell me that they're certain we'll do Norwich next weekend?

If Norwich beat us next week. The atmosphere inside Anfield could get very ugly indeed

The more we claim the Mancs are shit, the more we prove to be shitter than them. Ergo, best to stop calling them shit.

This. They're just a massive "laugh on the other side of your grid" machine. When people were chuckling over them paying an obscene amount for that Martial cunt, it was fucking nailed on that he was going to score against us. Absolutely guaran-fucking-teed.

If they ever go bust, with no hope of ever returning to the Premiership, then I'll laugh at them. Until then, not so much.
