I bet all the snidey Rodgers detractors were furious last season when he was able to back up his David Brentism's with really good football.

They're loving it now the manager has lost Suarez and Sturridge, though. Fucking get a load of them.

Rodgers used big words like philosophy and now internet geeks are having a melt down, news flash.

Gerrard had struggled with injuries and form for a couple of years under Kenny, and since Rodgers changed the style of play his form and injury record has really improved. By and large he has been outstanding, whether people on here with high post counts start a thread every time he makes a mistake is probably not in his thinking. So that's why he wants to keep him, rather than sentiment.

Fucks sake.

Yeah, he certainly doesn't have to run very much, or until this season play in many competitions. And under Kenny he got injured playing for England, missing Arsenal at home when we still had a chance for 4th place.

But it's all about Brendan.

Stop messing about with Borini?

I can't believe I'm about to defend the lad, but he's featured in three league games. All as a sub (I think). He contributed more in his first 5 minutes on the pitch against Newcastle, than Balotelli has in the last half dozen league matches.

WOW, hes then contributed less than nothing then.

is this real?

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/nov/02/liverpool-steven-gerrard-sentiment-brendan-rodgers

He adds:

“But both on an off the field, as a leader and as a captain, I want to ensure that Steven is very much part of this second curve we’re on in terms of group development.

We're on a new curve, then. That explains it.

Gerrard is without doubt worthy of his place in the team, but Brendan may be overselling his contribution to Gerrard's renaissance (if indeed he has had one).  Please, Brendan, be quiet and get on with making the team play at least as well as the sum of it's parts.

This.

Absolutely. Borini hasn't even had a proper chance despite looking brighter than both Balotelli and Lambert. Borini looks like a person who has something to prove. Lambert looks like he's feeling the heat. Balotelli looks like he's thinking about what colour he's going to dye his hair next.

Borini started against West Ham

The only thing Borini is proven, is mediocracy, Lambert has done it (Ie scored goals in his career at near the rate we need, Balotelli has shown in spells what he can do and what he wont do, Borini is a very average player, the kind of ten million pound player worthy of a place in QPRs squad, he will never ever be anywhere near the level we need, nor has he ever threatened to be, loaned out in favour of Aspas, we cant even flush this turd off to Sunderland after another loan spell, Can we stop spinning in circles, Balotelli and Lambert not being quite good enough, in no way you do that math does the answer become Borini. Hes barely dented Marios place in the italian team despite Italy having reallly shit strikers for years and Mario being a lazy neurotic lunatic and them really wantin Borini to be good.

Hes average at all the following and some of the 'average' descriptions here are really kind to him: heading, finishing, being fast, working the channels, technique, skill, scoring goals, beating a man, strength, volleying, passing, through balls, nutmegs, crossing and hair.

Hes above average at taking throw ins I will grant you.

Just dont take it for granted.

I grant these three wishes.

He might by fluke, by total flukery go on a bit of a 'hot scoring streak' thus allowing plenty of foreskin fumblers to put down whatever roy of the championship manager publication theyve been thumbing through and dance a little jig with their jumpers for goalposts on backwards an tha. However hes just a martin mere distraction. A blister on the helmet to all of them.
