My Dad has just seen Balotelli going into Spire Hospital as he was coming out.

Visiting Sturridge or is he made of biscuits as well?

I know someone who works there. Apparently Rodgers has sent him in for cosmetic reasons. My mate seen him with a lifesize cardboard cutout of Luis outside the the top plastic surgeons office.

Liverpool are commissioning a medical report on Daniel Sturridge’s history of similar injuries after learning the player will be sidelined for the rest of the year.

Brendan Rodgers believes the latest is the ninth injury involving Sturridge’s left thigh over the past few years and, though the England training regime was initially blamed for aggravating the condition at the start of the season, it is beginning to look as if there is a deeper problem.

We reckon it’s his ninth injury on the same thing from previous clubs here and there,” the Liverpool manager said. “So there seems to be an underlying issue somewhere. Our medical team are looking into it, the latest scans show a slight tear just below where he had a previous injury.

“Daniel is very disappointed and so are we. It is hugely disappointing to be without a player of his quality. Most players you will find want to play through an injury to get on to the field and when the incident happened in training it was through quite an innocuous action. He just flicked the ball and instantly felt the pain, it wasn’t a shot or anything that looked as if it might be serious.”

Things like this make Rodgers and the club look fucking stupid. So eight injuries was normal but nine gets an inquest? By whom?

He's been under the best medical care available for years and nobody saw or suspected anything? He passed all this medicals, didn't he?

Whether sturridge needs to see a specialist is something the medical staff is looking into...

Did BR really say that? Are you kidding me? He should have seen multiple specialists when this first occurred in August. Who has been looking at him up to now? Dr. Seuss?

Is that some kind of dig at Sturridge by Rodgers? It looks that way to me. Alan Brazil was telling the truth, maybe? Just sayin'.

It's certainly an odd phrasing. Not a smart approach by Rodgers if he's trying to publicly suggest something about the player's mentality

The more evidence we get, the more it looks like he's in the middle of a meltdown to me.

He's making a lot of basic errors this season. Not playing players showing form ie. Manquillo or Toure. Sticking with Lovern and Johnson hoping they'll suddenly turn in a good performance.

Playing Balotelli is bad enough but due to lack of options he hasn't much choice so how come pretty much every one else can see that the lad can't play as loan stiker except Rodgers.

The lack of playing time for Lallana is very odd seeing as he was the player he seemed to want most this summer and along with Moreno has looked one of our better signings.

And the less said about that tactical disaster against newcastle the better going with a back 3 when we had the ball and back to a back 4 when we lost it.

This could be end of Sturridge at the very top level. There is obviously something congenitally wrong for this injury to keep recurring . He'll be off to some rehab clinic for the rest of the year no doubt and fed on a diet of donkey placenta and snake oil but back in the real world FSG need to recognise they have to spend big and get in a proven striker. No kids, journeymen or nut jobs but a proper goal scorer.   Time is now to accept that Sturridge cannot be central to our future plans. If he comes back its a bonus but you have to start planning for the eventuality that hes done right now. As for Rodgers he needs to man up and get these lads to step up and start grinding out fucking results . He still has one of the best squads in the PL and if hes ever to be a great manager he will get us through this. I don't want to hear about his style of play his philosophy or his bad luck . WIN SOME FUCKING GAMES

If these injuries were coming in games it would still be a worry, but getting them in training sessions and warm ups for training is a serious worry.

He also seems to be a very slow healer anyway when hurt. But getting injuries "flicking a ball" suggests that he needs some serious work doing to strengthen whatever the issue is.
