Sturridge injured again....

Nothing like a small quote taken out of context to hammer the manager

Can't speak for anyone else, I wouldn't hammer him for it but I do think it's a bit odd.

I obviously have no idea if hes having a dig at Sturridge but it reads like hes definitely trying to hint at something else, possibly that Sturridge is ridiculously injury prone. But everyone and their dog knew that. So it's odd.

They are not putting blame on Sturridge and saying he is not willing to play through pain if that is what you mean. They are including him in the players who always want to play.

I'll be honest I have no idea what exactly hes trying to say but the phrasing is just odd which most people are pointing out.

My guess is hes basically saying in polite terms "Daniel is that fragile he could get injured bending over to pick up his fucking socks".

If these injuries were coming in games it would still be a worry, but getting them in training sessions and warm ups for training is a serious worry.

He also seems to be a very slow healer anyway when hurt. But getting injuries "flicking a ball" suggests that he needs some serious work doing to strengthen whatever the issue is.

It is a concern as long as the root cause is unknown. Hopefully, this investigation the club is starting may find the cause which might be treatable or might not.

I think people are putting a bit too much on how this latest injury was caused. Although its been said the muscle damage occurred flicking a ball, there's no real difference between the actions involved to do that and kicking a ball. After all, you can pull a muscle stretching or running.

My father taught me that before I married a woman, look at her teeth.

I wonder if the club sees the writing here and hope to find cause for cashing out on the insurance for his contract.

You can always get their teeth fixed, take Shania Twain for example

Yeah, his point was I'd have to fucking pay for it.

Your Dad's not as daft as me then, I totally missed the point there.

Women aren't daft either, the ones with dodgy teeth wear low cut tops & before you know it, you've married someone with teeth like a row of condemned flats.

Agree, but also it's the severity of the injuries that are concerning from not overly strenuous acts. You are right you can pull a muscle easily, but this lads muscles are tearing under little strain and doing so often.

I wonder if at times modern day players are too muscular, by that I mean they lift a lot of weights and the muscles are worked harder and are more susceptible to injury, I don't recall players in the 80's getting as many of these kind of injuries, or maybe they did but they weren't found as much.

Sturridge is obviously taking up baseball.

That little dance routine is going to be mega at Fenway

Fucking ridiculous really . Give the lad a donkey placenta  ,tell him to man up and get stripped off., It's only Bounemouth Danny boy

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will spend Christmas in Boston in a bid to speed up his return from injury.

Sturridge will travel to America to work with medical specialists at baseball team the Boston Red Sox, having spent time in Los Angeles working on his thigh injury.

The 25-year-old has played just three games this season and is not expected to play before the New Year.

"Liverpool believe the Red Sox have specialists who could help put an end to his persistent injury problems"

So a baseball team thousands of miles away are better equipped than we are to help him......

Is there anybody at our club who actually knows what they are doing?
