When tv presenters pronounce place names wrongly.

 

How hard is it to check these things beforehand?

The standard of pronunciation has gone down the gurgler big time in Australia. The ABC (Aussie BBC) used to be a stickler for correct pronunciation, especially place names. Now they seem to employ dyslexic announcers with a speech impediment.

Like me, you must have also come across people who believe that what they know is the ultimate truth and there's nothing beyond that. Such people and such type of ignorance is what I hate the most. How come they think think like that, I have no clue? I mean, what do they think of themselves? Plainly irritating and intolerable are such people.
