People keep saying this to me too, but I will do it to myself because my faith on this is unshakeable. I'm prepared to be hurt again, I'm not going to let the fear of that stop me from enjoying the ride again. It will happen, and if it doesn't this year I'll still be here in 12 months, believing.

If you've jinxed it again,  you'll hang for this Usher.

Some snippets of news from GOT…

The new 2023/24 relegation thread has been allowed to stay up (last week’s was locked apparently) and has hit 12 pages already.

Calls for Dyche to go and be replaced by Graham Potter. Not sure if they’ve taken Potter’s thoughts about that into account.

Michael Keane is Dyche’s boy, they should have paid the peanuts for Coady.

This season’s inevitable caretaker manager’s job won’t go to Big Dunc. No, instead they want a Leighton Baines/Seamus Coleman dream team.

Leeds appear to be standing firm on Gnoto. They are trying for Che Adam’s from Southampton. He scored against Plymouth at the weekend, but it was a tap-in into an open goal and generally he was shite. The lad they bought from the Portuguese league didn’t even make the bench yesterday.

I've just read an article based on an interview with Bryan King, former Millwall and Coventry goalkeeper. King was an Everton scout for around 9 or 10 years after doing the role at Villa and Spurs. He was the fella who scouted a player named Luka Modric for Tottenham. He recounted that he arranged a trial for a lad as he knew the lad's dad very well and the lad,a 15 year old who was tall but 'not mobile enough' according to Everton, scored two goals in a trial match and was available for about 60k. Obviously Everton didn't bother with him and just put him on the 'reject' list. The lad is somebody you may have heard of,Erling Braut Haaland! Wah,wah, wah.

Just because it's not something Kopites ever do, doesn't mean it's not Kopite behaviour.

Obviously.

Last season Haaland scored 35 Premier League goals; Everton scored 34.

The booing wasn't that bad according to GOT. It wasn't everyone,  where as everyone has booed Rondon on and off and the whole of Goodison has booed Maupay. Some context needed lads.

it must be fucking awful playing for them.

by the way, i wonder with their red bias bbc and media in general what they thought of motd2 having 3 ex-everton players on it.

Adams would be a significant upgrade on what they've got: i.e. he might get more than 5 goals a season.
