That's it, right there. That epitomises everything about why I have grown to love this club, the locals and the fans. Living on the other side of the Pennines and being a fan of Everton is tough, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

 

This is a prime example of the wonderful people that Everton fans are, and yet again, further testament to that belief that we are just a special breed. That we just have that something that sets us apart.

 

@chicoazul mentioned it in his Reds v Blues thread and was, quite rightly, positing if there was much difference between us.

 

This epitomises it. This typifies it. This is what the difference is.

Yeah because on one of the hottest days of the year I'd go the match in the car and take a dog, knowing I'd be gone for two hours and that in all probability there would be nobody to stand over the car and make sure the dog didn't croak from the heat.

How did that work? Did both Everton and Villareal go out, thus freeing up a place for Liverpool?

And why would UEFA (or whoever) rig it in Liverpool's favour? If they were so pro-Liverpool/anti-Everton why wouldn't they just do what they'd done 5 years earlier with Real Madrid and Zaragoza?
