I know there a few arty farty types on here so the question is which is your favourite painting?

 

Im not a great lover of art but I do love Lowry's Going to the match and his The Liver Building:

i've done a whole series of 'bunkers of the atlantik wall'. they are usually around 4' or 5' in acrylic

I like Japanese water colours similar to this in my gaff.

Normally there is an obscure misty background that represents poverty; the fisherman endeavour, the birds luck and the tree contentment or wealth, depending on whether it’s a willow or cherry blossom.

this is not one id have on my wall, but its amazing when you see it close up.

 

i also like Mark Rothko. they look like something anyone could do when you see images and prints, but when you see them for youself the scale is amazing
