Same for me, didn't think you'd heard of him. Over in Sweden there's been a lot of talk about Liedholm lately. For instance on TV, during the build-up before Liverpool-Besiktas. Was a great player and from what I can tell a very sympathic person.

You're right there. He used to say "let the ball sweat , not you" which is much like the pass and move philosophy.

Liedholms inpact on Italian football can not be underestimated. There are many many present managers who have learned the job under Liedholms guidance and influence. Ancelotti, Scala, C Maldini to name a few and Capello was Liedholms assistant manager in Milan. Liedholm was also the manager who gave P Maldini his debut for Milan. P Maldini who probaly also gonna be a great trainer when he retires in 10 years or so.
