I'm reserving proper judgment (probably because I know fuck about him!) but he's good enough that Rafa panicked when he realised he could go elsewhere. He's not an essential signing which means that he must be pretty special if Rafa wanted him so badly that he went out of his way to sign him when we didn't even really need him!

 

But, I have a feeelin he's gonna be really good.

My mate in Spain reckons that Rafa always told the player that he would sign him when he left Valencia when the time came. He reckons Rafa was hoping it wouldn't be for another year or two but when Everton came in for him he was was terrified of missing out and was forced to act now. Bit like the Mancs siging Rooney when they thought Newcastle were gonna get him. Only not nearly as expensive of course!!

Dunno if that's a fact like, but I suppose it makes sense.
