Mario Melciott and Winterburn picked Bale as the only Wales player who'd get in a combined XI, so going by the so called experts if England don't win by at least 3 goals it's a failure on their part, for a start Williams is better than Cahill and Smalling and Ramsey's better than all of England's midfield and of course Bales the best player on the pitch then there's not a lot in the rest of the team. Allens and Dier are marginal. Plus England have a buffoon in charge so that evens everything else up.

In Englands last 5 tournament games they have scored 3 goals and not won any of the 5. 

 

In Hodgsons eight previous tournament games they have only scored more than one goal on one occasion. You would be a brave man to beat on an easy England win.

Giroud didn't score yesterday and he seems to come in for a lot of stick from Arsenal fans in particular but watching him play, he is one of the very few strikers who actively looks to make near-post runs to try and score. When you consider that an awful lot of crosses fail to beat the first man, it's not bad thinking by him to look to get into that area so frequently.
