On a more serious note, the players we're being seriously linked with have gone up about three levels in quality since Klopp's arrival.  Before it was all about how Brendan wanted Ashley Williams and Benteke, now it's talk about Berardi and Howedes.

 

For me it's the rumours of us going after some of the best young players available that's really exciting.  I would absolutely love to see us bring in players like Leroy Sane and Ruben Neves and see what Klopp would turn them into.  We already have a youngish side, and to my mind the way to move forward to the point where we're challenging for the league title (which should be our target, never mind top 4 except as a midway point) is to bring in the very best before they get to 22-23 and are out of our price range.

We need a lot of players, but we desperately need some presence in the midfield asap, in my opinion we have nobody who can dictate a game.

 

Beyond that a reliable striker ( as in fitness as well as quality)is an absolute must for next summer, just cos I don't think we would get one in a January window and I also think that one of Sturridge or Benteke will have to go next summer, we cannot have both our main strikers spending so much time on the sidelines. Someone like Aubamayang would be awesome, but probably on the radar of someone with very deep pockets next year.

 

I'd also like to think that Klopp has a lot more pull in terms of getting in players as opposed to what BR could. If he can pull out some gems like Rafa did I'll be a very happy bunny. More Alonso type gems than Riera ones though!

Has this Rubén Neves link died down a bit now? I haven't heard much since I read on Twitter that we've already signed him in January.

 

Beradi looks class, he scores free kicks also which we've never really had, I'd look at Calhanoglu he might end up costing a bit to much now but he's quality.

I wouldn't say Gerrard was a free kick specialist he just scored a few, some great ones by the way but I doubt many teams feared giving us a free kick in the way teams do when playing against Pirlo
