World Cup 2014

Capello's got the Russians holed up at a very secluded training base. In 2010, he had the English holed up at a very secluded training base. It appears as though the Russian players are struggling with boredom away from the pitch, and struggling to play with any cohesion in matches. Much like England in 2010. I think Capello was the highest paid manager at that World Cup too. He's got a track record of success at club level but perhaps his methods don't translate in an international tournament environment.

He won loads back in the nineties but he's just jumping from gravy train to gravy train these days

It did appear they were struggling with that particular problem 'on' the pitch too. Money for old rope. Terrible fare.
