Tonight's game between USA and Portugal is the last of the 11pm kick-offs thankfully. It's tough to stay up past 1am every night for a week and it would have been worse if they'd keep scheduling knockout games for 11pm because the possibility of extra time and penalties becomes a factor.

Couldn't disagree more.

I've loved having something decent to watch at that time. Now we have to miss half the last round of group games because "Zomg the cheating possibilities".

Like Xabi Alonso did yesterday, I'm hoping Gerrard calls it a day on his international career as well. It will be sad for him, he gave everything he could, and now it's time for someone else to take on the responsibility of the England team.

Anyone else feel that the scathing remarks fro Keown and Dixon are beyond the pale considering they were involved in perhaps THE worse national team in football folklore?

Same with Shearer really, Euro 96 masked a generally very average international career.

Say less lads.
