Try here if you want quality tobacco juices

The Cellar

These are strong liquid tobaccos made by using some of the most desirable tobaccos from around the world and matured for 30 days in old oak barrels used for the production of fine liquors. The whole range is created for more advanced users and true tobacco lovers. These liquids are a real treat, from the materials used to the ancient production method. Like all great cigars and fine liquors would be appreciated by people that have reached a certain level of testing and experience, in this case to vaping'

eBaron

CHIVALRY

'Hard core tobacco steeped liquid matured for at least 30 days inside an old Scottish whiskey barrel. Smokey peat wood and strong whiskey aromas have been infused naturally into this liquid. The old wood has polished and filtered the juice offering an extremely realistic tobacco vaping experience.

Please note that no flavourings have been added to this product to enhanced the taste. It is pure and raw Liquid Tobacco, designed for true whiskey, tobacco lovers and experienced vapers'

RESERVE

'Liquid smoke! Serious tobacco vape for those searching for the best. Steeped for 30 days in our pure Guevara Tobacco blend and matured for another 30 days inside an original oak barrel used for decades for storing Metaxa brandy. The result is a dark and strong cigar taste with the most authentic wooden undertones and amazing brandy aftertaste.

A celebration of ancient production methods and pure natural ingredients at it's best.'

MINOTAUR

'Created using a similar recipe and tobaccos like our Cigarillos with the addition of a number of strong spices. This liquid is red in colour like the great Bull's blood and mighty strong with full body taste. Like all our liquid tobaccos this juice is extremely addictive and matured for no less than 30 days in a new oak barrel. The result is a sleek, fine liquid with serious temper and attitude'

Many thanks

Some very cheap links for anyone wanting to buy backups or starter kits who don't mind waiting a few weeks for delivery. All with free postage anywhere in the world:

$12.69 EGO-C Twist 1100mAh Variable Voltage Rechargeable Battery for E-Cigarette - black / 3.2-4.8V at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

One of each of those would cost around £12.73. You could get two of everything and be paying about half price of what it would cost in the UK including shipping.

You can also get cheap, decent quality ejuice from the same site at £1.54 for 10 ml (equivalent of 2 to 4 days smoking, depending how much you smoke):

Found 269 e liquid (Product Type: E-Liquid Brand: Dekang) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

FastTech do sell a lot of crap, but all of that stuff is ok and will be much more successful at getting someone off the bifters than the cigalike brands you can buy on the high street.

The V9 dripping atomizer and the KTS+ MOD battery thingy have just arrived from FastTech - awaiting some batteries, multimeter, ribbon coil and wick from a local supplier and then I'll be sorted on my new hobby of trying every flavour in the world.

Congratulations, been a month for me now and I haven't had a single craving for an analogue. I much prefer vaping so my brain doesn't have an issue. I'm even smoking nicotene free varieties now.

My Vamo and Innokin MVP are both going great, the latter is a brilliant portable vape, usb charged, variable voltage.

However I've now got into e-pipes and I've bought one from here.

Just feels right and they're wonderfully crafted pipes.

They look ace. I could be very tempted by the idea of sitting back and rocking a wooden pipe

-Are they worth the price

-How much can you replace/modify parts

-Can you build own coils?

-Can you drip on them?

Yes to everything.

It's basically a mech mod, so there are no wires, and the good ones can be taken apart for cleaning.

The question of value is relative of course. You are paying a premium for something artisan crafted.

You can get other ones cheaper but they won't be the same. Watch this guy: steve_johnson016 | eBay

If it has a 510 connector, you can stick what you want on it. A dripper, a tank, a clearomiser, a cartomiser, whatever. There are lots of e-pipe makers out there, and nearly all the ones I've seen are 510 compatible. You can also get pipe style drip-tips. Again, look for 510 compatibility and your atomiser needs to take a 510 driptip. I have not seen any that you drip into the bowl though. Usually that's where the battery goes, with a button switch on top.

Right, at the serious risk of looking like Simon or the guy who drew the wrestler, what I want is a cool-looking, wooden pipe where I drip a few drops of liquid into the mouth of the pipe and then vape like a cool fucker.

It would look something like below but everything on the market seems to have a clearomiser built into the arm rather than allowing dripping directly into the mouth of the pipe

Yep that's it, as always zigackly knows!

Mycrofts are superbly crafted, he builds them in batches and sells a set off every few weeks. Pricey but worth it if you like that sort of thing. I've stuck a mini viva nova tank and a long curved stem mouthpiece on mine. Just feels right.

A few other makers of artisan pipes are...

shop - Mikropipe's

e-Pipase-Pipes - labuenapipa.com

They've got some really good looking pipes when they come up for sale.

Do these electronic ciggies actually help you quit smoking, or do they do shit all and you have to do a dirty horrible cold turkey?

I've quit smoking 30 a day without a single craving. My brain just thinks it's switched to a nicer smoke. I'm vaping less than I smoked with very low nicotene or no nicotene liquids. Personally I think it's much more pleasant.

I'd tried everything to give up, cold turkey, patches, gums, sprays, even hypnotherapy. I'd last a couple of weeks at most.

I'd tried over the counter e-cigarettes first but they just didn't give a big enough hit, they tasted pretty odd and there wasn't a big enough drag off them.

Try a proper vaping mod, with a variable mod you can adjust the size of the drag and you get a much nicer smoke off them than cigarettes. Lots of interesting e-liquids too. It's also much cheaper than smoking.

It's still not good for you but it's a fraction as damaging as fags. You'll have given up putting tar, carbon monoxide plus 1,500 cancer causing chemicals into your system. I can't quite describe how much healthier I feel now, just as I did before I started smoking fags.

If you're looking to quit with vaping make sure you use a high enough nicotene e-liquid, that'll take care of your cravings. I started with 24mg, but only use 8mg now.

Smoked for 25 years, tried to give up a number of times and been through hell resulting in going back to fags.

Early days with these things (17 days) but I haven't had a craving yet and it has been my easiest attempt by far.

I'd recommend giving it a go, but make sure you buy something decent rather than the disposable stuff. The eGo range is working well for me as a daily replacement for being at work etc

They give you nicotine without the carbon monoxide, tar, arsenic, cyanide, carcinogenic alkaloids, thousands of other chemicals, and stinky clothes. Plus there are approximately eighteen million and three different flavours. You're inhaling vapour instead of smoke, but it looks the same and gives you the feeling of smoking. There is said to be no danger of passive smoking, and the ingredients from reputable vendors are all classified as safe to inhale, but no-one can guarantee there won't be health risks from them. However, everyone can guarantee there are health risks from smoking. They are also legal to use in many places where smoking is banned.

I've been on them four months and wouldn't touch a ciggie if you paid me now. For me it is a much nicer, guilt-free smoke.

I quit smoking about 11 years ago, but they do seem great and possibly do a good job for people who find it difficult quitting while enjoying going for a drink.

do you think you will be able to get of them easier than ciggies or will you be hooked on them for life, and do you plan on giving them up?

Also have you smokers coughs cleared up and has all the shit on your chest been coughed up yet?

Personally my lungs feel great, and I know from reading forums that many people who go to the doctors some time after switching report an increase in measured lung function of 20% to 30%. My smokers cough has gone completely, and I no longer have any problem with shortness of breath carrying heavy loads up stairs or running for the bus. Will I quit? Well, I always enjoyed nicotine and the only problem I had with smoking was the harm to my health. I have no intention of quitting coffee which is about as harmful as nicotine and I don't drink, so no I doubt I will.

Before reading through the thread can anybody tell me if there's a guide to getting started. I have no idea what all this fancy jargon means. Cartomisers, vaping, coils etc.

It can be strange to start with, but the basics are simple :

- Tanks/clearomizers/atomizers or cartomizers are the bits on the end that you put the juice inside, and also either take drags from, or attach a final bit onto to drag from I think in some cases. (I can't explain how each differs because I've not used each type.)

- Coils go inside those units along with the juice and work with the battery to create the vapor.

- Vaping basically replaces the word smoking as it's a liquid (juices) that's vaporized instead.

- Add a charger to that for your battery and the basics are there I think.

Once you go into advanced stuff you'd have to ask others though. There's all types of mods you can use and I've steered clear of that because I'm fine with just a normal atomizer/clearomizer. Hope that helps a bit anyway.

I got some 16mg juice in the end and it was too harsh to the level that it mostly put me off vaping for a short while. It's mainly because the tobacco I use is a lot mellower than that, so have switched back to 11mg. I also tried a virginia tobacco-type juice but thought it was disgusting and tasted just like those really cheap cigarette lookalikes. If it's mixed with a better flavour though it seems fine, (and even seems to create decent juices in some cases.)

Being away from it for a while has reminded me how much I miss it though, really glad to be using it again.
