There is nothing wrong with Facebook if you don't partake in the mongfest it so often provides. If you're just using it to keep in touch with others or treating it like a normal forum where you can leave the odd comment, post photos etc, it's absolutely fine. Unfortunately, those choosing not to join Facebook are less aware of that side of it than all the other bullshit.

It is when people get involved in the mongfest side of it that it becomes an issue. People posting details of their every waking moment, posting philosophical passages to appear 'deep', or just posting general shite are very irritating. But people getting involved in one-upmanship of the sort described in the OP are something else altogether.

It amazes me the stuff people are so willing to share on social media without realising the key point that because it's on social media, OTHER PEOPLE WILL SEE IT! Whether the tampon thing is real or not, or whether girls fucking their dogs for a bet (what kind of fucktard agrees to a bet of this sort anyway?) is real or not, these people are going to have to live with the consequences of such things being so visible to everybody, even if it is faked.

Lastly, I bet you loved watching them, didn't you Lewis?!

When RiS does some new stand-up, or when Woo likes a new tune, or when Remmie has had a ball at a festival or when Rich is shagging aroun Aisa: I'll see it. It will be interesting and if I want I might want to have a conversation with them about it. Without them calling me to tell me they did it, which would be wierd.

What a terrible thing that is.
