Opened an account with BetFred the other week, ten pound free bets on opening. Anyway, I waged a ten pound bet which I lost, but was then granted my free tenner. I have since increased that to the weighty sum of 40quid in a couple of wins on sports betting and casino. However, I am unable to withdraw these winning funds from my account. The free bets are gone, and I have since had a tenner in bets from my winnings. Anyone have any idea why I'm still not able to withdraw any of this? I've read the Ts and Cs but doesnt seem to say anything on the matter Cheers

It’s not hard to spot the scientists in commercial advertising: they’re the ones wearing white coats. Whether hawking toothpaste, skin cream, or even cigarettes, the white coat vouches for the presence of a highly-trained, disinterested expert ensuring product safety and effectiveness. The label ‘journalist’ performs a similar function. It also indicates a highly-trained, disinterested expert: an ‘insider’ with specialist skills performing investigative analysis beyond the ken of ordinary folk. But beneath the white coat, journalism ‘smuggles in values conducive to the commercial aims of the owners and advertisers, as well as the political aims of the owning class…

Was mooching about HMV last night and picked up some bits. (was pretty good sale actually, got Ollie Reed's biog, Man on Fire, Lou Reed -Transformer all for £2.99 each) Anyway, this film caught my eye. It was called Primer. Never heard of it and took a gamble. Watched it last night - I have no idea what the hell happened in there. Its all about Time travel and manipulating the future. I deffo need to give it another watch. Its very good though, even if it means you have to watch it 6 times to figure out what exactly went on.

The one who keeps spamming the GF with loads of fancy talk about good family food and that...who the fuck is he? "With my job" - Well why don't you tell us what your job is then and we might decide if we want to make you the choice of venue when we fancy a brew and a fry up? He says he has to stay fit so I'm guessing he might be a manual labourer or something?

Monkey shuts down island for seven hours For more than seven hours today, the normal rhythm of life for Barbadians was disrupted by a power outage. It affected schools, banks, large and small businesses and showed how integral electricity is to the functioning of a modern society. A monkey out for an early morning climb probably caused the island wide power outage. Chief Marketing Officer at the Barbados Light and Power Company, Stephen Worme says the incident occurred north of Codrington Hill, near Whitehall, between the Warrens and Haggatt Hall sub-stations. The monkey is believed to have tripped a 24 000 and 11,000 volt circuit after it climbed a po…

Would you go by that name or would you get pissed off at all the quips and modify it to Jim or Jamie or some shit? Said to the boys in the office how some bloke phoned me up once when I worked for the water board and his name was on the account as James Bond, and sounding a bit pissed off he goes "Yes yes, I've heard them all before." Before I could even open my mouth. Would you get pissed off with all the smirks and shit, or would you just go "fuck it, my name's James Bond!"

I know there are a few Radiohead fans on here, if you go to this site Radiohead: Live In Concert : NPR Music you can listen to one of their shows off the last tour. Apparently you can download it as a podcast too but I've not tried that as I'm in work.
