  1. Tired challenge says Smith. From a player who has just come on.

  2. Arsenal, he gets them Thomas Partey got knocked out of the cup, jumped straight on a plane, travelled over 3000 miles, landed in London at midday, travelled straight to the team hotel to join the Arsenal squad to play tonight, got knocked out of another cup, and got sent off in the 90th minute

  3. I've never heard a commentary team be more impressed by a 15 minute period than Arsenal's start to the game. A period in which they had one shot on target, from a free kick.

  4. I wasn't sure where to post this. Some of you might remember me posting about my youngest Grandson a while back. He has Downs Syndrome and as a result he is way behind where a non Downs child would be. He's two and a half and has a lot of needs and my lad and his partner are working miracles with him. They were told he would have extreme difficulty walking. Well today, the little lad gave the experts the finger and walked. I couldn't love or be more proud of him if I tried.

  5. As someone has said, what makes this sweeter is Arsenal's shenanigans at the weekend, getting the Spurs game off and naming a full strength team tonight. They really wanted this and we still beat them. Fucking hilarious.

  6. Klopps still fucking awesome, just looking at him makes me smile.

  7. Nah, he’s a complete shit bag and wouldn’t say it to my face. I’d slap him back to 1995.

  8. Talking about walls with an Evertonian, only a matter of time before that goes a certain way.

  9. Never in doubt really. Klopp wins semi finals. That's what he does. Fantastic result and a very good performance. Trent was brilliant. Anyone highlighting his limitations is not looking hard enough at what he brings. Another 2 assists and should have had at least 1 more. Robbo was fantastic too, with Saka in his pocket and his constant attacking support. Jones was ace, and just what we needed. If Gini played that game, everyone would be wanking him off. Its where Gini was at his best, particularly away in the big games, holding onto the ball, closing everyone down, and drawing clever fouls. And of course Jota - what a fucking player. Both goals were fucking boss, even with the scuffed first. Back to Wembley. Fucking buzzing. Edit - that fucking lino had no right to cut the celebrations like he did. VAR would have checked it anyway. Prick. Edit 2 - Arsenal are wank. Shite characters, shite style of football, and a shite personality of a manager. I'll take Martinelli off them, mind.

  11. Never in all my 50+ years, have I ever seen manager love his players as much as Jurgen, watch him with Robbo and Trent at the end, the love and admiration for each other is beautiful.

  12. The best thing about this is that Arsenal really wanted it. Its like smashing their toys in front of them CharDee McDennis style.

  14. Quite like that Thomas Frank , he was asked about possible signings by journalists during the week and said they were interested in a few players who seemed to pass his main test of ' No Dickheads '

  15. I'd have told them that for way less money than he is charging them. Next he'll be pointing out that Fred is shite and that Pogba is massively over rated as well as being a massive cunt.

  16. Nah. I said the first few times of seeing him play a couple of years ago that he's got the "it" that stands him out from other young players. For example I look at Jones and I think he's great and hopefully will have a big part to play for us over the coming years however you never know how they develop and if they can take it up to the required level, personally I think Jones will. Harvey on the other hand you can just see that baring injury he's going to be top tier, they way the experienced players in the team talk about him, Klopp and his staff too etc. This could come back to haunt me in years to come and I'll look a bigger pillock than I am now but he's going to be one of the top English players.

  17. I'm absolutely sure he's a shyster, most of the Red Wall mob seem genuinely bonkers, as they were mostly paper candidates not intended to win, also, he's a Tory. But it's sort of by the bye isn't it? It's the idea of having someone leave Johnson and sit behind the Labour Leader at PMQs, it's political theatre, whether he stands for Labour at the next election isn't the issue at this point. If the Owen Jones brigade don't get that then they really don't get politics in this country.

  18. I hope Gerrard and Villa wipe the floor with them tbh. Dunc will still get majority support, "it's only one game, he needs time to implement his mark on the team" etc.

  19. We don't need to 'decide what to do with Jones or Henderson'. The others, very much so, but there's no issue with either of them in terms of the next few years.

  20. Wolves selling Jota for £40m: 'How am I doing, boss?' Roma selling Salah for £37m: 'You're doing a great job, son...a great job!'

  21. Been very impressed again by Kelleher. Did what was needed. Kicked it long when under pressure, no messing about. Good to see.

  26. Simon Hughes is talking shit. The protocols for LFT positive tests was available to all. If players test positive they had to isolate, go home and have a PCR test, the results of which take a couple of days. We all know this but of course Hughes just wants to give us another kicking to divert attention. Did he bother mentioning an arsenal player's yellow card and suspicious betting patterns or is that one he just sweeps under the carpet?

  27. Simon Hughes with a big article on the Athletic about the postponement of the first leg. Headline - "Liverpool, covid 19 confusion and the Arsenal match that didnt need to be called off". Cue more fuming from Arsenal fans online today. I think some of them are now simply clinging onto this thing as an excuse if they get knocked out tonight. Even though they now have 2nd leg home advantage. Would really love to batter them there today. Would also be interesting to see if other journalists write long articles about other clubs with numerous postponements since December.

  29. Tommy (6) spilled orange juice all over the floor this morning & then informed his Mum, "It's a woman's job to clean up.". Guess who is in the dog house? This is after I got them up, made their breakfast, ironed their clothes & helped them get dressed like every other school morning. Un-fucking-believable.

  30. Usually I'd agree, we've seen it so many times. Harvey isn't one of them though, he's going to be a really special player and I'm fully on board this hype train.

  31. Plucky performances during inevitable defeats, if you please. The teams at the bottom are so gash that any sort of winning run would lift them to mid-table. Everton’s recruitment process is so wildly inept that Big Dunc should have four or five games to get them fighting, competing, and not-actually-winning.

  32. Also if we're looking for women's performances specifically, you can't ignore Pauline McLynn in Father Ted. Pippa Haywood in green wing?

  33. I remember an interview of Peter back in the 90s in the old Liverpool club magazine and he said the one thing he would dearly love to see again is us winning the European Cup. I'm glad he got to see that twice more before he left us. RIP.

  34. Totally disagree. He was in on merit, to the point where Thiago wasn’t guaranteed to take the shirt off him. One of our best players in the first few games of the season. Him, Trent and Salah down that side could be absolute magic if the injury hasn’t affected the kid.
