Is there any chance the GF doesn't become like the Echo Facebook comments, finding places on the Internet that are devoid of people trying to out-tard each other when it comes to those who have transgressed society's rules is hard enough already.

I agree.

In terms of this new case I hope that we have come further in the time that has passed since Bulger.

Hopefully we as a society learn where we got it so wrong with these two girls and are able to , eventually lead some kind of normal life. They deserve their justice but they also deserve the right treatment.

How the fuck can you be a lawyer for people like them. And actually make reasons and arguments in their favour

I've got a friend who was Dennis Nielsen's solicitor for a few years. He specialised in representing prisoners around issues associated with penal reform.

Said it was a proper head fuck being in the same room as him but that he was entitled legal representation just like anyone else.

Fantastic.

If your child at some point came to a place where life had failed her and murdered someone would you not want to see them at a stage where they where rehabilitated to some kind of normal level? If you say no and they should rot away forever then you're lying.

Society is as guilty sometimes in creating these people

I just couldn't do it.

Im not suggesting you just lovk them up and throw away the key im just unsure in some of these cases that some people can/should ever be let out. Im not a life means life or death penalty supporter but to do what they did you've got to be bloody deranged.

I was watching the Wire with someone the other week and they said they liked the Levy character,i just saud at what point in becoming a lawyer do you decide im want to be a dodgy lawyer who specialises in getting criminals off the hook.

Are you saying all lawyers doing criminal defence work are dodgy?

Harsh that.

It'll Be Alright On The Night was cheesy TV, but he didn't deserve to go down for it.

You can if you want. Take a while to find me in Belfast seeing as i live in Watford.

Or do i?

As i said i just dont think i could be defending some people. To be fair id be about a good a barrister as George was in Blackadders trial and id probably end up calling the prosecution a cunt
