Listened to talk sport comma as could only get Iranian stream.

Trevor sinclair is an absolute cunt. Begging the ref to be more leniant to Burnley, screaming at the Greek to get off mcneil at one point. Unbelievable

Yes he can be annoying but nowhere near McMananan's shite. Did laugh at Matterface wanting Mo to score and cheering Ali's save because he has them in his Fantasy team.

That's what I mean about him missing the point.  Salah was no more clearly offside than Fernandes last week, so the point is about consistency and fairness.

Salah was clearly offside, the referee made the right call. If the referee let it go then it would’ve been unfair on Burnley.  It wasn’t even that marginal.

What's that got to do with the Fernandes decision last week?

If we want less VAR intervention and we want to give attackers the benefit of the doubt and let offsides remain a subjective decision, you're never going to get consistency or fairness.

Don’t think it’s relevant. You could judge every decision by its merit. Mo was clearly offside.

It's relevant to consistency, the point I am making.  Today was very marginal, look at the pictures.  They could have followed the same approach as they did with Fernandes last week, don't over-analyse the lines and give the advantage to the forward. They clearly did that last week, they did not today.

Consistency, the whole point I am making.

Yup. It was tight, but off. In the old, pre-VAR days, if that got flagged you saw the reply and said “yep” instantly, or it didn’t get flagged and you’d say “got away with that”.

No the VAR would still be involved in order to gain a level of consistency (it will never be 100%) but it would analyse it in the background like they did with Fernandes and follow the approach of advantage to the attacker.
