I find this accusation levelled at Off The Wall & Thriller that they're 'music for kids' to be an odd one. Sinatra was for kids, Elvis was for kids, The Beatles were for kids, Zeppelin were for kids. A lot of kids have great taste in music & can see what's coming long before us old farts.

Good music is good music whether kids, adults or grannys like it.

I agree, what I mean is that I never knew anyone under say 18 who listened to him, yes the Beatles in the early years played good pop music for kids but not sure kids listened to much after say Revolver, that is unless you were growing up with them.

Sinatra had his Bobby Soxers though they werent exactly spoilt for choice in those days I suppose.

Anyhow who gives a fuck, music is a personal thing and if you like it then others opinions are of no consequence.

Unless you like Robbie Williams then you deserved to be pointed at in the street.

I wonder where all these kids got the money to buy all these records?

I was in the Jazz Bar in Edinburgh not that long before lockdown & the DJ put on Don't Stop Til You Get Enough on & the place went mental, there were no under 18s anywhere to be seen. That stuff is Quincy Jones gold standard, you can dance to it, you can sit down & listen to it or you could analyse it to death & get to grips with all that great stuff going on. By the same token, I could play it in my house & my two young kids love it.

Couldn't agree more on Robbie Williams, the musical antichrist that cunt.

I dont like any of these albums, load of dross mixed with a few good tunes.

There are less than 20 really good albums in the world, no wonder I think most of the albums so far have been completely average.

Miles Davis has got more than 40 really good albums on his own.

I mentioned it before somewhere, we was all in a car going to the mates who lived by the ground funnily enough, Salisbury St, all blitzed and that came on the radio and it was brilliant and new, but that's about it for me, I still like it, 41 years ago, ye gads.
