I said several matches ago that I was concerned about Thiago's casual style rubbing off on the other players, I stand by that.  Overall it's difficult to assess due to the injuries and missing our most important midfielders, but he appears to slow us down massively.

He's got two gears - first and....oh, no, just the one gear.

This myth that Thiago is slowing the game down is absolutely comical.  He moves the ball on quicker than literally any midfielder we have.  We spent years saying there’s a lack of creativity from midfield.  He plays all sorts of intelligent defence opening passes and has done it today again but the control of the players receiving it has been useless.

The tactics we play Thiago or no Thiago are to move the ball side to side and look for openings.    The number 8’s play generally safe passes that protect us from counter attacks.  It’s like some people have never watched us before.  For some stupid reason we then restrict those openings even further by not helping the full backs.

We've had an injury crisis that is beyond belief and owners who haven't exactly been Jonny on the Spot with help.

Klopp has to sort the shit attack out though even if its just making it less shit. Just stop the pointless punts into the box. Have a ban on them. I'd find this more bearable if he just did that.

Waiting until last day of window and seemingly only acting because Matip news forced hand is a terrible decision.

Probably gonna be fucking March by time can put out a defence that is made up of defenders and as a result have our midfield back, by which point the damage will be irreparable.

Its all because our structure has been broken with the centre half issue and all the numerous knock on effects to full backs, midfield and our whole style of play.

The energy in middle of Hendo and Fabinho is lost, the defence don’t bring it out like our first 3 centre halves would and as a result the full backs don’t start as far forward.

Our transitions are so slow and ponderous now most of time now and its easy to defend with 11 behind the ball against us.

We get a bit more room away so we'll do a bit better away but at home, we are pretty much fucked until we get our midfield back and proper centre halves playing.

The accurate shorting quick passing of Mo, Bobby etc in the box is just not being executed. It’s not Klopp’s problem. Mane is missed for sure, and yes, Hendo in defence is deflating our midfield.

Based on the West Ham game, I think Klopp’s starting 11 was reasonable.
