Would play Origi wide left and Mane through the middle if Firmino is out.

That's a scarily quick front 3 with Big Div on the left. Also, how many wide players score as often from headers compared to Mane? Ronaldo being the obvious one.

I'll feel a lot happier about this if Bobby is back. We really have no adequate replacement for him. I'd be tempted to start with Shaqiri if he's out but Jurgen seems completely to have lost interest in Shaq for whatever reason. For him to start Sturridge ahead of him spoke volumes.

I would go with Origi because there’ll probably be plenty of space for us on the break or behind their back four.

Buzzing for this one

If Firmino is not fit i personally would prefer to see a formation change than shoehorning Origi or Sturridge into a front 3.

It never works against good teams when we do shoehorn them in.

PSG at home.

Is Fabinho's head still fucked? If that's the case then that midfield picks itself away from home against a side who we know will seek to control possession. They're all very safe players who consistently keep to their responsibilities on the pitch. It lacks a goal threat but to be fair it's not as though any one else is really banging them in either though Keita on paper is the most likely to do so based on recent form.

As far as the idea of formation change goes if there's no Bobby, what formation would we switch to? a 4-2-3-1 would seem the most like but it's basically just a defensive variation of the same and would shift into that when we have the ball anyway. Studge as a lone striker at this point is non-starter for me, so that means having Origi up there? I just can't see it myself and surely we wouldn't start either on either side that deep. I suppose you could play Lallana on the left or right and have either Mane or Salah up front alone but personally I'd rather we didn't.

Apart from Messi, the main worry for me in this game is our midfields total inability to track a runner or read the most obvious of one - two’s from the opposition.

That 15 minute spell Huddersfield had after we scored the other night showed this up and if shite like them can get through with ease, these fuckers can certainly do damage in a short spell.

If he's fit I'd play Fabinho with Gini and Henderson.

The only formation changes if Firminho is out I'd seriously consider are a midfield diamond with Keita at the tip (probably way too risky) or a 3-5-2 .

I'd play Milner with Fabinho at the base of our midfield.

Fab, Gini and Keita for me, Clive.

I’m pretty sure Klopp still won’t trust Keita defensively to pick him for this one.

I’m also pretty sure we’ve seen the Hendo, Gini, Milner midfield against a fair few top teams and it’s been found wanting when we need to keep the ball, and play it under a bit of pressure.

Will be interesting to see the midfield selection.

Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Henderson, Keita all playing well. Plus Klopp does like Milner on the pitch in these big games.

Fabinho might not have got over his knock to the head, so that might ease Klopp's decision.

Does Klopp trust Keita yet in these big games defensively?  We'll find out in this game.

I'd start Keita, Gini & one of Henderson or Fabinho.

Wouldn't surprise me if Klopp went Henderson, Gini & Milner.
