His game is getting in the box but now we have wijnaldum along with the 3 behind the striker plus Moreno all trying to get in the box. Then you have a game like yesterday where the plan seemed to be give the ball to Coutinho and he ll shoot from anywhere.

You can make an argument that Clyne, Sturridge, Wijnaldum, or a lot of other players were poor yesterday but Henderson was the worst of the lot by some distance.  Shocking.

Coutinho probably. He's gonna play as much as anyone and can pull a rabbit out of the hat from time to time.

 

The best part of Hendersons game is his pressing followed by his ability to get in the box. He's doing neither as furthest midfielder back.

 

Yesterday he didn't know what he was doing when they ran through us because he's an attacking midfielder. He ll do great work defensively further forward but he doesn't know how to play further back and all he's doing with the ball is keeping it simple when he should be giving it and getting in the box for the return or as third man running.

 

Can should be first midfielder on team sheet if we re not signing someone more defensive and then it's one of Henderson wijnaldum or grujic. Personally I wouldn't have wijnaldum in midfield every game. He should be for one of the 3 or 4 behind a striker. Mane starts when fit. Coutinho starts. Then we have another 7 to choose from depending on whether we play 433 4231 or please sometimes play 442 with sturridge and Origi up front.

 

A lot of talk about being unbalanced last season. If anything we re worse now. I haven't mentioned Milner firmino Ings Lallana.

Far too many attackers. Trying to crowbar a good player in Milner into an unfamiliar position where we have no cover and 4 midfielders 2 who are more attack minded grujic and Henderson. One who could be a top all round midfielder and one more defensive minded who we keep going back to instead of upgrading.

I genuinely can't see how anyone can make a case for Henderson. Some say he's more of a box to box midfielder. He plainly is not. He lacks the lot. Terrified when in possession. hasn't got a tackle in him. 6 ft plus and useless in the air. Absolutely no awareness of what's happening around him. He's another fucking fraud lottery winner.
